Justice without re-traumatization: Uzbekistan trains specialists to work with child victims of violence
When children who have experienced violence enter the justice system, they need to feel safe, heard and protected. If a child feels comfortable giving testimony, understands what is happening, and is protected from secondary victimization depends greatly on the professionals they meet, including judges and prosecutors. Round table charts path for preventing femicide
On 25 June 2026, representatives from the judiciary, law enforcement, civil society and international organizations gathered at the National Center for Human Rights (NCHR) in Tashkent for a round table to discuss current approaches to preventing violence against women and strengthening the protection of women’s rights.The round table, titled “Legal Mechanisms for the Prevention of Femicide: From International Standards to National Practice” was organized by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz) in co-operation with the NCHR.
